Chinese EV automaker XPeng Motors announced it has suspended all P5 reservations and pre-orders in the four countries in Europe it currently has a presence. The decision comes just months after the company opened reservations for the P5 overseas. Citing foreseen export timeline issues, XPeng will shift its focus to the P7 sedan.

With the P5, XPeng looks to enter one of the largest vehicle segments in China currently dominated by ICE competitors, and introduce a technologically advanced EV that is competitively priced. From what XPeng has now shared, the P5 has the advanced features and affordable pricing to find success in multiple markets.

Following its exhibit at the Chengdu Motor Show in China, XPeng has shared more details of its flying “car,” the Voyager X2. During the showcase in Chengdu, the automaker revealed that the X2 has begun testing flights in extreme conditions, including high altitudes above cities in China.

Xpeng Motors announced that its P7 “smart electric sports sedan” officially rolls out in China on April 27. The Tesla-looking sedan already made big promises for range: 435 miles of range on the NEDC cycle. Now the company says the P7 will use Nvidia technology to enable Level 3 autonomy for highways, city streets, and valet parking.
Xpeng is boasting that its P7 EV boasts the highest range of EVs made or assembled in China. This was verified by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China.
