In honor of Earth Day 2022, charging network Electrify America is offering free EV charging sessions at 740 locations across the United States. Additionally, EA is offering $50 off its HomeStation Level-2 home charger through the rest of April using the promo code below.

Infant EV automaker VinFast and US charging network Electrify America (EA) announced a new charging agreement during this year’s New York International Auto Show. As part of the collaboration, US Vinfast owners will have access to all of EA’s 3,500+ EV chargers through the VinFast mobile app. However, their complimentary charging sessions will be limited to two – a much smaller bonus compared to previous agreements with other automakers.

Electrify America unveiled a new charging station concept today that includes updates to the actual chargers with better displays and cable management as well as updates to the stations themselves with solar canopies and more amenities.

Volkswagen of America has shared its EPA-estimated ranges for the 2022 versions of its ID.4 Pro electric SUV. While each of the 2022 trims of the ID.4 Pro saw range increases, it was the RWD version that saw the biggest jump to 280 miles compared to 260 in Volkswagen’s 2021 model.

EV charging network Electrify America has announced a project with NFI Industries to support the latter’s fleet of 60 electric heavy-duty trucks with a charging infrastructure of 34 DC fast chargers. The project is scheduled to be completed in December of 2023 and is being described by the companies as the single largest charging infrastructure project in the US to support heavy-duty EVs.

The long-term plan for the EV community is ubiquitous, go-anywhere charging from coast to coast. Cross-country routes have been available for Tesla drives via the Supercharger network since about 2014. It’s now possible for other EV drivers – as Electrify America today announced that its open charging network features the first of two planned fast-charge, cross-country paths.
