The Swedish electric surfboard company Awake is best known for its high-speed boards that can surpass 57 km/h (35 mph). But now the company is reaching new heights as it rises out of the water on its latest product: the Awake VINGA electric hydrofoil board.

Swedish electric boat manufacturer Candela is no stranger to taking flight in its hydrofoil electric boats. But today’s announcement marks new ground as the company’s upcoming Candela C-8 takes its maiden voyage before serial production begins later this year.

And now with the Awake RÄVIK S 22, the company is splashing down with yet another new board that continues to push the limits of what e-surfboards can do.

It’s only been a few months since Stockholm-based Candela announced plans for its mass-produced C8 electric hydrofoil boat, but production planning is moving full steam ahead. And now, things may begin moving into overdrive thanks to a large new funding round that will see €24 million added to the company’s war chest.

It’s the largest funding round ever completed by a European boat maker, gas-powered or electric.

Arc’s founders may have started with rockets, but now they’re getting their feet wet with high-power electric boats. And a new funding commitment from a former Tesla exec means that their high-performance Arc One electric boats may soon be gracing a waterfront near you.

After its unveiling at last year’s CES, the Waydoo Flyer ONE electric hydrofoil surfboard is now taking orders. And compared to every other electric surfboard out there, the Waydoo Flyer ONE is a veritable steal.

The Shenzhen-based technology company Waydoo will unveil a prototype of its upcoming electric hydrofoil board known as the Waydoo Flyer next week at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, NV.

The electric hydrofoil board is designed to allow surfing even without any waves and removes one of the major obstacles to learning the sport of surfing.
