Scooterson is the weirdest and also coolest electric scooter I’ve ever ridden

scooterson scooter

I’ve ridden a lot of electric scooters in my time, numbering in the hundreds of different models at this point. And so it takes something special to make it to the top of any of my lists these days. Somehow the Scooterson managed to top TWO of my lists at once, becoming the weirdest to ride but very quickly also the coolest electric scooter I’ve ever tested.

I mean, just look at it!

Unpopular opinion: Why we need more ‘motorcycles for children,’ not fewer

balance bike

A recent string of anti-e-bike articles in the New York Times has attempted to spread fear around the increasingly popular transportation method of electric bicycles. But it’s not just the typical e-bikes you see students riding to class or adults cruising to work on. One of the main e-bike targets of late has become electric balance bikes, or what the NYT referred to as “motorcycles for children.”

However, instead of fearing these rider training tools, we’d be better advised to embrace them and encourage more parents to put their kids on one.

ZonDoo Roadhitter

ZonDoo recently came out with the RoadHitter, the fastest electric scooter in their lineup and likely one of the fastest electric scooters out there. At a glance, the RoadHitter’s eye-catching 68mph top speed and bright light show make it seem like a ludicrous scooter, fit only for those looking for maximum adrenaline and minimum safety. However, while it can definitely get the heart pumping, it also has a few more features that are worth taking a look at.

Porsche releases a ‘sporty’ electric motorbike, but there’s a catch

yadea VF f200

When it comes to motorbikes, there’s simply no comparison. Electric motorcycles and scooters crush their combustion engine-powered cousins in performance. The instantaneous torque and immediate power delivery makes for a more thrilling ride, while the lack of exhaust noise or smell (as well as significantly reduced maintenance and ownership costs) make their use more enjoyable. And it seems that automotive company Porsche has gotten the message loud and clear based on the company’s partnership with Yadea to release the VF F200 electric motorbike.

One of the best-designed electric scooters in the world finally comes to the US

aike t electric scooter

Last summer I had the chance to test out the European designed and manufactured electric scooter Äike T at its world debut launch. As one of the first-ever test riders, I didn’t quite know what to expect. But after checking it out and doing my first few parking lot donuts, I knew this would be something special. Now nearly a year later, the Äike T is finally coming to the US via a new subscription service known as Tempo.
