2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT gets Bronze treatment, fastest yet with performance upgrade

The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT is getting a new “Bronze Appearance Package” that’ll make any head turn. With an optional performance upgrade, the new EV is the fastest Mach-E yet.

Meet the 2024 Mustang Mach-E GT bronze edition

Ford unveiled the new Bronze Appearance Package for its high-performance electric crossover on Thursday.

The new “Bronze” edition adds design elements and performance to the 2024 Mustang Mach-E lineup. Ford added 20″ Sinister bronze-painted aluminum wheels and a bronze mesh front grille that makes the high-performance EV stand out from the crowd.

Ford’s new Mach-E also features Mustang “Mach-E 4X” door badges and a bronze rear GT Badge.

The 2024 Mustang Mach-E GT Bronze trim will be available in three body colors: Shadow Black, Star White Metallic Tri-Coast, and new Eruption Green.

To complement the new design package, Ford says an optional performance upgrade will deliver the quickest 0 – 60 mph time of any Mustang Mach-E ever. Ford didn’t give specifics but said more details on the performance upgrade would come later.

Ford’s current fastest Mach-E GT offers 480 horsepower and 634 lb-ft of torque, so you can expect it to top that.

Hmmm. That bronze trim seems to be the new edition of the "Gold packages" from the 80's.

Noticed the push for yet higher performance. When will the madness stop? The majority of drivers can't handle the performance of the vehicles they drive already. And then we complain about the insurance rates.

Orders for the 2024 Mach-E will open this winter. The new Bronze edition with an extended-range battery will start at $60,990.

Ford’s Mach-E was the second best-selling electric SUV last year, behind the Tesla Model Y. The automaker handed over 40,771 Mach-E’s in the US last year.

The news comes a day after Ford released its new F-150 Lightning Switchgear. The “all-electric pickup is designed for off-road performance,” according to CEO Jim Farley. Ford’s Switchgear EV pickup is the company’s latest EV demonstrator.

Ford also released an off-road Mustang Mach-E Rally car in September as it expands into new territory. The rally car is based on the Mach-E GT Performance with raised suspension, rally-style wheels, and more.
