Mercedes-Benz introduces EV insurance coverage to include charging stations
Mercedes-Benz announced on Friday that its comprehensive insurance will include coverage of home-charging equipment, cables, and batteries. The policy includes risk coverage up to € 10,000 ($10,900) related to theft, vandalism, “overvoltage damage,” short circuits, and even bites from animals and rodents.

Green light for Mercedes-Benz EQS AMG sedan, a 600hp electric luxury beast
When Mercedes-Benz unveiled the Mercedes EQS electric sedan last year, the company said that a pair of electric motors would produce 350 kilowatts (470hp) of power. The UK’s Autocar now reports that an AMG high-power version of the EQS will be produced, amping things up to higher than 600 horsepower. It appears that Mercedes-Benz wants EVs that stack up against Tesla’s Plaid versions, even if not quite as powerful.

Mercedes-Benz has an all-electric ‘EQS’ sedan to follow the ‘EQC’ SUV in 2020
German luxury automakers are all working on their own all-electric vehicles to come out in the next few years.
Unlike Tesla who first launched the Model S all-electric sedan in 2012 before following it by the Model X SUV 3 years later, the German automakers have first been working on their electric SUVs, which are coming out this year and next year, before turning their attention to sedans.
But Mercedes-Benz now says that their first electric sedan is following the SUV closely behind in the development program for a launch a year later.
