Tesla Model 3: new pictures of release candidate shows interior wood trims

Have you seen enough Tesla Model 3 release candidate pictures yet? We have been posting plenty lately, but we still can’t get enough. After all, it’s likely the most anticipated vehicle of the decade and reservation holders want to see it from as many angles as possible.

Our latest look today gives us some good angles of the interior and shows wood trims.

We got great pictures of the Model 3 release candidates since the test program launched in March, but we rarely get a good look at the interior.

Tesla even went out of its way to make sure people couldn’t see the interior. They covered a prototype up while it was Supercharging earlier this month.

It’s not clear what Tesla would be hiding. The interior seems closely similar to the interior seen in previously officially displayed pre-alpha prototypes. My best guess would be the user interface on the screen.

With the lack of instrument cluster and the HVAC vent running all the way through the dashboard, the interior looks extremely minimalistic, but it looks like owners will have options of trims along the vent.

New friend of the site Michael S., who brought us some great shots of the blue Model 3 release candidates earlier this week, sent Electrek new shots of the white and silver candidates with good angles of the interior (colors highlighted for a better look at the interior):

We can almost get a look at the user interface of the center screen – almost… It does show that they are separating it into two sections with the first quarter closer to driver likely showing information normally shown on the instrument cluster:

Obviously, there’s still a lot to learn about the Model 3’s UI and we should know more after the start of production in July.

In the meantime, Michael S. also stalked Tesla’s headquarters in Palo Alto and got a few great high-resolution shots of the white Model 3 release candidate:
