PSA: California Clean Vehicle Rebate is increasing for low- and moderate-income drivers, and going away for high-income drivers on March 29

We knew it was coming for a while, but today the California Air Resources Board (CARB) confirmed the exact timeframe. The California Clean Vehicle Rebate (CVRP) will be increasing for low- and moderate-income drivers, while it will also introduce a cap for high-income drivers.

The change will apply statewide to vehicle purchases or leases effective March 29, 2016.

Quebec to expands electric transport program with $420 million over 5 years

ob_853b77_2622093-origQuebec government announced today its new plan to accelerate the electrification of transport in the province. The Liberal government says it plans to spend $420 million in the next 5 year. The program is less generous than the previous government’s plan lead by the Parti Québécois who announced a $516 million program before being ousted during the 2014 election.
