Tesla’s electric pickup truck is set to be the next vehicle to be unveiled by the automaker and they have been teasing it over the last year.
Now, CEO Elon Musk hints at the towing capacity crushing the competition.
Musk has been hyping the Tesla pickup truck for a few months now and it’s becoming increasingly intriguing.
On a few occasions, he said that it’s his favorite of all fo Tesla’s upcoming product programs:
“Probably my personal favorite for the next product is the pickup truck, and we are going to just do an amazing pickup truck.”
Much has been said about what the truck will look like, especially since Musk said that the pickup will have a cyberpunk Blade Runner-inspired design and he unveiled a cryptic teaser image.
The CEO is now also hinting at the capacity of the Tesla Pickup truck when he laughed at the towing capacity of a Dodge Ram 2019:

It’s the second time that Musk has teased an upcoming feature by referring to a competitor as a “children’s toy”.
When first announcing the Supercharger V3, the CEO said that Porsche’s 350 kW charging capacity was a “child’s toy” when asked how it would compare to Tesla’s next-gen Supercharger.
That comment didn’t age well since Tesla actually ended up launching Supercharger V3 with a 250 kW charging capacity.
It could be different this time around since Musk already suggested a possibly even greater towing capacity — though the feasibility has been put into question.
The CEO has previously sought suggestions for features to add to the truck under development and he revealed some planned features, like an option for 400 to 500 miles of range, Dual Motor All-wheel-drive powertrain with dynamic suspension, as well as ‘300,000 lbs of towing capacity’.
Earlier this year, Musk said that Tesla plans to unveil its electric pickup truck around this summer,
