Tesla releases new Roadster pictures

While it is still years away from production, Tesla appears to be marketing the next-gen Roadster lately.

The automaker has now released new Roadster press images.

Earlier today, we reported that Tesla Roadster made its car show debut at the Grand Basel car show.

It was both the first time Tesla brought the vehicle to a car show and the first time the vehicle was in Europe.

Tesla displayed the same white design shell that it featured at its shareholder meeting earlier this year.

Now the automaker has released rare new images of both the red working prototype and the white Roadster design shell:

The stunning vehicle has been praised for its design, which was led by Tesla Design Chief Franz von Holzhausen and his team, but the specs are what is revolutionary about the car.

As we previously reported, CEO Elon Musk claimed a list of insanely impressive specs for the new Roadster, including 0-60 mph in 1.9 sec, 620-mile of range, and more.

Tesla is trying to bring the vehicle to market by 2020 and make it the quickest and fastest production car on the market – and it just happens to be all-electric.

The automaker is currently taking reservations for the $200,000 base version with an insane $50,000 deposit and for the $250,000 Founders Series for an even more insane $250,000 deposit.
