Just a few days after completing its first cargo trip, a Tesla Semi electric truck has now been spotted all the way in St-Louis at a Supercharger station.
Last week, Elon Musk announced that Tesla Semi was setting out on its first cargo trip with battery packs from Gigafactory 1 to Fremont factory.
Two days later, the electric trucks were spotted in Fremont after having been spotted at a Supercharger station near Sacremento a day before.
Now that the trucks are moving around cargo, it’s giving us opportunities to the electric trucks performing with trailers and some videos are quite impressive.
We still haven’t seen a great demonstration of the range, but now a Tesla Semi prototype somehow showed up in St-Louis – over 2,000 miles from Fremont.
It was spotted at the Tesla Supercharger station in St. Charles:

As it turns out, the Tesla Semi prototype is in St-Louis to visit Anheuser-Busch, the brewer behind Budweiser who also ordered 40 Tesla Semi trucks last year.

It’s not clear if the Tesla Semi drove all the way from Fremont in just a few days, but it looks like the same grey prototype that Tesla has been using since the official unveiling of the electric truck program in November.
Tesla claims a range of up to 500 miles with a full load, but the vehicle doesn’t seem to be carrying cargo so the range should be even greater and therefore, it’s not impossible that the truck made the trip with just a few charging stops.
The automaker is working on a new charging technology called ‘Megacharger’ for Tesla Semi, but we haven’t seen those new stations yet and it looks like Tesla’s electric trucks are using the Superchargers in the meantime.
