This week, an analyst says that the Tesla Semi “could be the biggest catalyst in trucking in decades,” noting it could be around 70 percent cheaper to operate.

Fred also talked this week about how well his Signature 2012 Tesla Model S P85 is holding up after 5 years. After purchasing the vehicle through Tesla’s certified pre-owned process, he says the battery is holding up very well and much more in his breakdown.

The Model 3 Long Rang received its EPA rating this week, earning a leading 126 MPGe efficiency rating, while the car also made its way to Europe for the first time ahead of its release during the second half of next year. The Tesla Model 3 also made its way across the country, completing a full coast-to-coast trip.

Toyota chairman Takeshi Uchiyamada talked this week about why the company is falling behind with electric vehicles. He explained that Toyota is “not against electric vehicles,” but rather the company doesn’t think the battery technology is there yet. Nissan also unveiled its all-new ‘Tesla killer’ Leaf this week.
