Tesla is now listing ‘new Model X inventory’ for sale, over 150 vehicles available

Now that Tesla significantly ramped up production of the Model X, the automaker is having more and more units for test drives, display and loaners, which means the company is bringing those vehicles in a rotation and now selling them as “new inventory vehicles”.

Tesla is now listing over 150 Model X vehicles on its website.

Prices are ranging from $84,000 for the Model X 75D, only a few of those are available, up to $119,000 for the Model X P90D, also only a few available since most are 90D units.

Mileage varies from just 50 miles to a few thousands miles depending on the models.

New inventory units are particularly useful to Tesla because of its made-to-order model, which can often create months-long wait times. After test drives, potential customers can sometimes be disappointed by the wait and having a few options to shorten it can be useful:

Now that the Model X reached or is about to reach full production, Tesla delivered 4,600 Model X’s last quarter and was at a production rate of close to 1,000 a week at the end of June, the vehicle’s success will be very important to Tesla.

After the Model S significantly disrupted the luxury sedan segment and Tesla’s announced plans to do the same with the Model 3 and Y in their respective segments, it would be significant for Tesla to achieve similar results with the Model X and show consistency.
