Dubuc Motors is trying to raise $25 million through crowdfunding to build its all-electric Tomahawk [Gallery]

Québec-based startup Dubuc Motors announced that it will try to raise $25 million through crowdfunding in order to build its all-electric 2+2 sports car: the Tomahawk. The company is using Start Engine to test the waters under the SEC’s new crowdfunding rules.

Dubuc has been promoting its Tomahawk for a while now and the group has been making some impressive claims. On its website, the company says it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3 seconds and travel 300 miles on a single charge.

The startup is trying to join an increasingly crowded space of exotic and luxury electric sports cars with the likes of Rimac, Renovo, Detroit Electric and others.
