A look at all Tesla Model 3 production colors

“Any customer can have a car painted any color that he wants so long as it is black,” that’s what Henry Ford supposedly said when asked why Ford is not offering different colors for the Model T.

That’s what came to my mind when first learning of Tesla’s color options for the Model 3 earlier today.

Tesla confirmed all the specs of the production Model 3 today and the black is the only standard color.

Unlike Ford, Tesla actually offers other options but with a $1,000 premium – meaning that if you really want to pay $35,000 for a Model 3, you have to take it black.

We have been speculating on the colors that Tesla would offer for the Model 3 over the past few months following sightings of prototypes and more recently, the first few production units.

Seven different colors were seen on the Model 3 vehicles in the wild: white, black, silver, midnight silver, red, blue, and Signature Red.

As of our last poll, Electrek readers preferred the blue and midnight silver colors. You will be happy to know that they have both made it to production.

Here we take just a quick look at all the colors that made it to production with a mix of new production car pictures and ones from previous sightings:

Solid Black

Midnight Silver Metallic

Deep Blue Metallic

Silver Metallic

Pearl White Multi-Coat

Red Multi-Coat
